The mission of the Carolinas Cord Blood Bank (CCBB) is to build a large, racially and ethnically diverse, high quality, and publicly available inventory of cord blood units to improve the chance of patients finding an adequate donor for transplantation.

Committed to studying the best ways to collect, process, and store cord blood to improve transplant outcomes, the CCBB supports basic and clinical research to develop novel applications for cord blood transplantation, particularly as it applies to applications in regenerative medicine.

Carolinas Cord Blood Bank is a public not-for-profit organization.
