Donations to the CCBB from non-affiliated hospitals utilize the CCBB Kit Program. The CCBB Kit Program allows mothers to donate their babies' cord blood at their local hospital. There is no cost for participation in the CCBB Public Cord Blood Donation Program. Donated cord blood that meets all requirements for banking will be made available on the NMDP Be the Match® national registry for patients in need of a donor for a transplant.
